Wanted to upgrade from optical. Good news is ergomics are great; tracking is excellent, very pleased with that. Only had it a month so can not comment on reliability or battery life. Also, some minor interference (not bad) from my 2.4GHz wireless router. The bad is that I have Windows 7 and Kensington does not support it. Their latest software was written for XP in 2006, yes 2006. I contacted them to ask if they were going to support Win7 and they said maybe down the road, check the website periodically. I told them that if I knew the buttons would be useless I would never have bought it in the first place. They offered me a full refund.
