This mouse is, in short, excellent. I was looking to buy a "quick" mouse that I could add to my collection and I also needed it to work well with graphics design and the like. I found this one and was attracted to the price as well as the features that it claimed to offer. I figured for around ten bucks (including shipping) I couldn't go way too wrong. In the territory of graphics design you have extremely high resolution interfaces and I needed a mouse that could handle the work and not be too slow or too jittery. I found what I was looking for.
The mouse has 4 settings that can be switched with the button directly behind the scroll wheel. You have the options of 400, 800, 1200, and 1600 dpi. I use the 1200 dpi setting and have the tracking speed in the system preferences to one notch above the lowest setting. This provides that I achieve maximum precision and also that I don't feel as though my mouse is moving sluggishly.
The mouse has 5 buttons, but I was disappointed when I figured out that 3 of the buttons have the same function (middle click) and cannot be changed.
Another great feature about this mouse: the scroll wheel is translucent and inside the mouse is a small light that stays green when the mouse is idle and glows a bright red when it is moved. I think this is very cool.
Also I'm on a Mac and haven't had any trouble whatsoever.
All in all, this mouse is, in short, excellent. I have a rather large collection of other mouses and after receiving this one today I'm beginning to suspect that it is my favorite. I highly recommend it. And, if you don't like it, hey! You only spent 4 bucks on it.Get more detail about LeapMaker 5-D Optical High-Resolution Wheel Mouse (400-1600 DPI).
