Not sure what happened here, but my new router worked at about 1/3 the distance my old WRT54GS works so into the box it went and back to Amazon (the best at customer service). I would not even spend the time calling Linksys to diagnose the problem. I installed the new update to the Router as per their notes, with no wireless devices active. Booted and re-booted the device and still, the worst signal we've ever had.
